3. Permissions and Local Processing

The app requires access to your device camera solely to enable QR code scanning. All scanning and QR decode operations are performed locally on your device. We never upload camera images or the decoded content to any external server.

4. Scanned Content — External Links & Risks

QR codes can contain arbitrary content, including URLs that may lead to external websites. By design, the app may open links or display content encoded in a scanned QR code. We cannot control or moderate the content of third-party sites or files reached via scanned QR codes. Users should exercise caution before following links and avoid opening unknown or suspicious URLs.

5. Third-Party Services

We do not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or other services that collect user data. If we add such services in the future, we will update this policy to describe what is collected and how to opt out where applicable.

6. Children’s Privacy

This app is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 16 has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information if any exists.

7. Security

Because the app does not collect or store data, there is minimal risk of data breach related to user information. We follow best practices for secure development and do not retain camera images or scan logs on our servers.
